The Discharge is a powerful piercing attack that erases bullets fired by small enemies and turns them into items. At full charge, an "impact wave" occurs when it hits a medium or larger enemy, turning enemy bullets within the area into items. During boss fights the Discharge itself cannot erase enemy bullets, but the impact wave can. [ Accel Drive Gauge ] When the gauge is 50% or higher (blue gauge), holding the Discharge button activates "Accel Drive". While Accel Drive is active your attack power rises for a set time, and the Discharge gauge recovers faster during stages. The number of coins produced when destroying enemies also increases, and the items produced by erasing enemy bullets change from coins to jewels. If you trigger Overdrive during Accel Drive, part of Accel Drive's remaining time is added to the Overdrive time, but the coin-increase and jewel-generation effects are lost. (Overdrive: a mode triggered by holding the Bomb button, consuming 1 bomb to raise attack power for a set time.) [ Frame Rate and Slowdown Rate ] The frame rate shows the current game speed. The slowdown rate (DELAYED) shows "the proportion of delayed frames caused by processing not finishing in time". The game has a "wait" system that slows down when there are many enemy bullets on screen, but in that case the slowdown rate does not increase. When the slowdown rate does increase, it means the game is running slower than intended. ◆ Game Screen (S Equipment)![]() [ 1 : Score and multiplier ] [ 2 : From top: Delayed Shift Gauge / Counter Shift Gauge / Combo Gauge ] [ 3 : Remaining lives ] [ 4 : Coins / jewels earned on this stage ] [ 5 : Remaining bombs ] [ 6 : Ethereal Shift Gauge ] [ 7 : Blade Gauge ] [ 8 : Armament Information ] [ 9 : Name of the targeted enemy ] [ 10 : Life of the targeted enemy ] [ 11 : Life of the targeted enemy (numeric) ] [ 12 : Player character stats ] [ 13 : Game mode and rank ] [ 14 : Score required for an extend ] [ 15 : Player skill level ] [ 16 : EXP / coins held / jewels held ] [ 17 : Frame rate and slowdown rate ] [ Delayed Shift Gauge ] Delayed Shift can be activated at 50% or higher. Delayed Shift slows enemy bullets and, when you destroy an enemy, turns the bullets it fired into jewels. However, the enemy barrage itself becomes denser and reinforcements start to appear. Delayed Shift can be cancelled at any time; if the Counter Shift gauge is high enough at that moment, a Counter Shift occurs. Cancelling Delayed Shift incurs a release cost. [ Counter Shift Gauge ] The gauge rises according to the amount of jewels collected during Delayed Shift; if it is high enough, a Counter Shift occurs when you cancel Delayed Shift. Counter Shift reflects enemy bullets and generates jewel items at the same time. [ Combo Gauge ] Shows the remaining time of the combo bonus. The combo bonus is added as a bonus when you gain score. [ Ethereal Shift Gauge ] Ethereal Shift can be activated at 50% or higher. During Ethereal Shift the Blade can be used without limit and Assault Shoot is fired constantly, but enemy reinforcements appear. If you are hit while holding a bomb during Ethereal Shift, you lose 1 bomb and the entire Ethereal Shift gauge, but the hit is cancelled (the hit is still counted in your records). Ethereal Shift can be cancelled at any time, but a release cost is incurred when you do. [ Blade Gauge ] A Blade attack is possible when the gauge is charged at or above the cost required for your character. If you press the Blade button while a large enemy is locked on, an invulnerable cut-in attack, the "Raid", occurs. After a Raid the gauge may go negative (red gauge state); in that case you cannot perform Blade attacks for a while until the gauge recovers. [ Armament Information ] Displays the availability of Assault Mode, Ethereal Shift, Delayed Shift, Counter Shift, Blade, and so on. [ Previous Page ] [ Back to Index ] [ Next Page ] |
